Masculine Quick Cards

Image
Hi Papercrafters Today I have three quick Masculine Cards using the newly released Gentleman's Emporium Collection from Couture Creations. My first Card "Cherish" uses the foiled Pocket Watch.  This is popped up on a simple background of papers and is the focus of the card. The pale gold foil is perfect and a bit understated which I love.  My second Card uses papers and embellishments from the Ephemera set.  I also used the Square Gentleman's corner die. It is so beautiful and intricate and cuts so beautifully! The Happy Birthday sticker was from the Tiny Words sticker Sheet, I coloured the gold with a black permanent marker. For my third card I did a simple score and fold on my score board to simulate a shirt. The paper size I cut was 6" long x 3" wide. And I score 1 1/4" in from top left to 3" down from top right. I cut the little button from the watch paper in the paper pad and gently curved th...

Pull Up Card

Image
Hi Papercrafters. I have had lots of requests to make the Pull Card and show you how to do it on a video ..... so I have😄. The Petite Jardin 12x12 Paper Pad was a perfect paper choice, gorgeous colours and lots of small designs! This is an easy and impressive card to add to your card making portfolio and it will definitely have that surprise factor many of us look for. The papers were so pretty I ended up making three! You can see pics of two of them here, the third is on the video.  Here are some more pics to wet your appetite! I made one a few months ago for a special friend and popped lots of mini photos on. 'Jardin' Exploding Card & Video Tutorial

Image
'Jardin' Exploding Card! Hi Papercrafters. 😊 The 'Petite Jardin' Collection from Couture Creations is pretty and easy to use for all your papercrafting projects. An eclectic mix of florals, stripes, geometric designs both in soft and strong colourways. The range has beautiful papers, dies, hotfoil stamps, chipboard and stamps, and really, choosing is the hardest part! I was drawn to the beautiful border, flourish and branches dies;  these dies I could use on most cards, totally drop dead gorgeous!  I wanted a card with a little surprise inside so I worked out the measurement for an exploding insert following one of my favourite Tea Bag fold Designs.  It works beautifully!  You can see exactly how I made this in the video I have put together for you 😉  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6rL3cA312I I do hope you get a chance to create this little fun card and to shop for some beautiful pro...

Rose Vine Card by Collette Mitrega

Image
Welcome Papercrafters. Today I have a couple of cards using the wonderful Modern Essentials, Cut, Foil and Emboss Dies. I love a die that does it all and have selected the nesting  Rose Vine Frames to feature on my cards. I seem to be a 'golden mood' at the moment! Again I have chosen gold and white, but am loving how elegant that combination looks! I layered this up differently, instead of the thick metal shim, I used two of the thinner ones which foiled and cut beautifully! I had some beautiful left over bits of foil when I cut out the frames, way too good to throw out so I simply used my Go Press & Foil machine to attach the foiled frame to some card. To do this I put the thick shim on my Go press and Foil machine, put the foil gold side down, then my card and I used 2 card shims. It all attached beautifully! Not bad for leftovers! Love the leaves 2 stickers. They come in so handy! Products Used CO726462 - Cut Foil ...

2017/18 Kaisercraft Design Team Application

Image
Hi papercrafters! I was super excited to get into the second round for the Kaisercraft Design Team for 2027/2018. I was sent the stunning Lilac Whispers collection to create an entry. As always with Kaisercraft the papers are stunning, all I needed to do was to create something special. It's been crazy around my household and business so time was limited, but I decided I would create a Four Fold Card with Pop Out Cube. Despite time pressures, I wanted to create something special and the pop out cube always gets a 'WOW' and the four fold card would showcase the stunning paper. I love junk mail; so often there is inspiration and a few years ago a retail company sent me a pop out cube ...... I loved it! I played, adapted and re-sized to create a version great for cardmaking and have taught it in many classes. It is ALWAYS so well received! So again I played with the size so I could incorporate it into my Four Fold Card. I really hope you li...

Everyday Card

Image
This is what I call one of my ‘Everyday Cards’. It is a simpe sketch that I use regularly, I really like the texture of the torn and rolled layers of paper! You may have noticed I have not put a sentiment on this one. I often leave the sentiment off until I am ready to send my card; this enables me to select just the right saying! This card will be filed in my card stash box under my ‘feminine’ heading, ready and waiting until it is needed! Tip:  to get a nice white non iridescent spray, simply add some white Kaiser Paint to a spray bottle and shake! Genteleman card

Image
Hello!!   I used the ‘Grunge’ Template in my die cutting machine to emboss those gorgeous cogs! Once embossed, I gently rubbed ‘Bark’ inkpad across the raised emboss design to give it more definition. The black cogs were also cut on my die cutting machine using the new release ‘Cogs’ stamp and die set. If you want the technique for embossing with templates, check a video I did ten months ago. https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=vwR8xXUzb-I   Kaisercraft Products : Barber Shoppe Collection : PP1002 6 1/2″ Paper Pad | CT861 Collectables | FL579 Wooden Fourish Pack Gentleman | CD509 Card pack Sq Kraft | IP724 Ink Pad Bark | DD 932 Decorative Die & Stamp Set Cogs | IP 719 Ink Pad Black | T303 Foam Tape.
