Hi papercrafters! I was super excited to get into the second round for the Kaisercraft Design Team for 2027/2018. I was sent the stunning Lilac Whispers collection to create an entry. As always with Kaisercraft the papers are stunning, all I needed to do was to create something special. It's been crazy around my household and business so time was limited, but I decided I would create a Four Fold Card with Pop Out Cube. Despite time pressures, I wanted to create something special and the pop out cube always gets a 'WOW' and the four fold card would showcase the stunning paper. I love junk mail; so often there is inspiration and a few years ago a retail company sent me a pop out cube ...... I have a new love, playing with stencils and I love that Kasiercraft have a wonderful range of smaller stencils for cardmakers! There is so much fun to be had with them. A super easy and quick card ….. really!!! I love how it looks do you? I took some smooth white card (CD650), popped the whole template on the card and spread texture paste all over, just before I went to bed. In the morning it was dry and I cut the four designs apart and selected the design I wanted to work on. I swiped Kaisercraft ink pads over the card in a diagonal design and while the ink pads were out, I coloured the little wooden butterfly. I splashed a few drops of candy pink Kaiser Mist  and a generous spritz of white Kasier Mist …. just because I love getting messy! I simply finished the card with Kaiser flowers, and a layer of cheesecloth! Then I washed my messy hands lol!! I decided to do a mixed media background, they are fun to do, a wee bit messy and the good news is you don’t make any mistakes – anything goes! I die cut the wonderful ‘Mixed Media Circles’ Die (DD786), and popped it down on a 3 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of white card. I used a palette knife to spread some texture paste on top. I then removed the die cut, (popped it aside for another project!), and waited for my texture paste to dry, (you could use a heat gun, but I had dinner to organise!). Once dry, I gently rubbed some Kaisercraft stamp pads on the design and  random stamped some words so they blended into the background. I then splattered with Kaisercraft paint – it got everywhere  but was surprisingly therapeutic lol!! At this stage I loved how it looked and stopped the messy stuff and assembled the card with papers and collectables from ‘High Tide’. This is what I call one of my ‘Everyday Cards’. It is a simpe sketch that I use regularly, I really like the texture of the torn and rolled layers of paper! You may have noticed I have not put a sentiment on this one. I often leave the sentiment off until I am ready to send my card; this enables me to select just the right saying! This card will be filed in my card stash box under my ‘feminine’ heading, ready and waiting until it is needed! Tip:  to get a nice white non iridescent spray, simply add some white Kaiser Paint to a spray bottle and shake!
