Stencilled Cards

Image
Lots of fun playing with the brass Dreamweaver Stencils.   I used texture paste and micro fine gold glitter.  I used the mask as well as the leaf in these two cards...no waste!! Simple dry embossing and colouring with a stamp dauber. I then masked with a bit of mesh and stamped in a darker colour!

Lacey Edge Die

Image
Hi everyone. Today I have a beautiful card that is easy to create with a few nice techniques! I have fallen in love with the new DD757 Card Creations Die Lace Borders! They are versatile and beautifully lacey. To make this card I simply cut my CD602 premium ivory cardstock, (if you have not tried this, seriously consider it; the colour and texture are beautiful!), to 8  1/2″ wide and 6 1/4″ tall. Die cut each end, (it might need a few passes), folded it in half to form a card and then folded the front back. I heat embossed the text stamp in gold and continued with the gold theme with paper from the story book collection. The paper bloom was sprayed with adhesive and then sprinkled in gold micro glitter, (I was glittering all evening lol!). The circle sentiment acts as a closure with the fold slipping behind it when closed. I photographed my card agains a beautiful woodgrain paper so you could see the detail of the die. The paper is also from the ‘Story Book collection

Never Ending Photo Card

Image
It’s my sons birthday soon and I wanted to make him a ‘special’ card – one that could incorporate photos and that would be interactive. I chose the ‘Never Ending Card’ which I re-sized . It is such a great card! You could put so many more photos on it and turn it into a fun unconventional mini album. Think Christmas…..family overseas, send them a Never Ending Card with lots of your family pics! Here is the front of the card… This is the first turn….(isn’t he adorable!). This is the second turn….. and the third and final turn, the next turn takes you back to the beginning! Such clever fun! I hope you are inspired to make one, to help I have made a special u-tube video….just for you to make it real easy! Kaisercraft Products Used: Story Book Collection – PP993 Paper Pad | PS446 Book Covers – Foil | CD602 Ivory Card | IP724 Ink Pad Bark. Other Products Used – Birthday Stamp | Gold Embossing Powder. Have fun creating Collet

Mini Bookshelf and albums

Image
Oh my golly gumdrops….you have to see this sweet little bookshelf to fall in love with it! I decided to make one for each of my boys! We have no family in Australia, some live in the UK and Ireland, some have passed. I decided to dedicate one little book for each family member, going back as far as I can. This little shelf can fit quite a few albums and I have really enjoyed compiling information on our extended family! Other sweet ideas are to have a mini album for each of the countries you have visited, how nice it would be to do a bit of armchair traveling when you are feeling low; or an album for each month of you babies life, I think the set would cover 2 years! I love the wood effect paper in this collection ( P2065 Library Card), it is so rich and authentic!   The mini albums measure a sweet 3″ wide x 4″ tall. Each of my albums has a different saying like the above which I cut from P2068 Bookplates. Here are pics of the inside of one of the
