Be Merry

Hi Papercrafters :) My final Christmas Card for the year!  Yay!! A twisted easel card, they always look so grand!! Once again I have used 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' collection from Ultimate Crafts.  I have had so much fun playing with this classic collection and I know my family and friends love the cards I have sent them this year. This is a right fold twisted easel, which feels a bit back to front but looks wonderful when open. So with the fold on your right, take the bottom left hand corner and fold it against the crease line creating a mountain fold. Here is a pic of the card when closed, you can see the fold line down the middle.  Remember, the folded side of the card is on the right!  It should create a bit of fun when it's being opened lol! I fussy cut some of the beautiful big poinsettias from the paper pad and layered them in a pretty floral spray on the front. Other papers from the paper pad create

Christmas Sampler - Layout

Image
Hi Papercrafters. Today I am sharing a Christmas Sampler 🎄 I love that I get to create nine different mini layouts .... lots of dies, papers and photos! Once again, I am using Ultimate crafts 'It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas" collection .... you know how much I love it!! 💗 I am going to pop this layout into one of  the many 12" x 12" frames available from Couture Creations and display it on the wall this Christmas! I bet it gets noticed and admired by my family and friends! Here I have used the Build a Tree Layering Die to create a dimensional Christmas Tree. I love this matt gold mirror card and have also tied it into my layout by using it as one of the backing cards. I layered the 'Holly Branch Die' and shaped them into a wreath. 2mm pearls add an extra festive touch. The papers in this collection are so rich and Christmassy; I have added a few flowers to create dimension. Layers

'Merry Christmas' Card

Hi fellow crafty friends! As Christmas is just around the corner I find myself frantically trying to finish my Christmas cards.  I am looking for easy quick designs that look fab.  I think this one delivers, especially if you make them production line style! Once again I am using "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas' collection from Ultimate Crafts, it is my favourite for the season ..... but you probably have guessed that by now lol! Simple, pretty and quick.  So lets take a look at how I made this Christmas beauty! Cut a C6 Cream card blank so it is 3 1/2" wide when closed. Cover it with some beautiful Christmas paper from the 12" paper pad, cutting it slightly smaller than the card so you have a small cream border all around. Next cut a piece of green text pattern paper, (1 5/8" x 5 1/8") from the paper pad and attached it to a piece of matte gold mirror board cut 1 3/4" x 5 1/4".  Wra

Peace on earth

Image
Hi Papercrafters! Today I have a lovely white and gold Christmas card with a beautiful foiled sentiment "Peace on Earth'! I love this message, it says so much about how so many of us feel ..... if only!! I started by creating a 4" x 6" card. I then embossed a 3 1/4" wide x 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" tall piece of white card with the beautiful 'First Snow' embossing folder. I love this folder and find my self using it regularly! Next I foil embossed a piece of 2 1/2 " x 3" wide piece of white cardstock with  'Peace of Earth" foil stamp and my Go Press and Foil Machine. Finally I cut two pieces of matte gold mirror board,  3.5" wide x 5.5" tall and the second at 3 3 1/8" wide and 2 3/4" tall.  I then attached all the layers to my card base. Next I die cut the Poinsettia Flower and Christmas flourish in mat gold paper and attached to by card. I decided not to add the beautiful

Poinsettias - Layout

Image
Hi Friends I am continuing my festive journey with 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' and getting through some of those Christmas photos. I love the big poinsettias that you will find on a number of the pages in the 12" paper pad, and knew when I saw them that I would cut some out.  Here is what I have created. I think it is very Christmassy and that red is so rich and devine! Here is what I did! First up I cut out three of the big poinsettias. On white cardstock I drew a red pen border 1/4" all around the page, I was noy too ,precious' about creating a straight line, a wiggle here and there looks great and is easier! I cut the music strip off one of the pages from the paper pad and attached it approx 5" up from bottom of white base page. I attached the poinsettias, using foam tape on the one that surrounds the photo. I attached the vellum poinsettias onto the layout by slipping them behind the main

Special Memories

Hi Papercrafters  I’m excited to share with you a layout I created featuring the new ‘Bohemian Bouquet' Collection from Ultimate Crafts.   It is such a pretty collection designed by one of Australia's own, the wonderful Denise Boddy, isn't she clever, I love the designs and the colours. I love that you get two sheets of paper of each design in the Paper Pad. This allows me to fussy cut and add dimension with the beautiful flowers in the bottom right corner. To crumple the corner, spray on some water and scrunch. This way the paper becomes very hard when it dries. I painted the chipboard with white gesso and added a touch of blue. Once I finished the layout I masked the photo and sprinkled on some fine glitters, it is hard to see but just added another glistening element to the layout that looked amazing! 'Ho Ho Ho'

Image
Hi Papercrafters Today I have another layout using the beautiful ' It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' collection from Ultimate crafts. My son Jack loves to fool around and is so photogenic. I loves this pic, he was pretending the bobble on his hat was his mike and was singing Jingle Bells.  How I love Christmas! The layout is very straightforward and easy to copy. I embossed some vanilla cardstock with beautiful Christmas words ( ULT158301 - Winter Wonderland Embossing Folder), and die cut some snowflakes ( ULT 158320 - Snowflake Decorative Die) to add texture.  I also cut the poinsettias and layered them up. It's a great layout that you can do in advance for this Christmas, who says we can't scrap first and take pictures later!!! For my little sentiment I simply printed it out on the computer and rolled to edges to form a scroll. Product List ULT158298 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Hi Papercrafters I have had fun getting a little bit messy with this card. I used lots of the beautiful new dies and papers from the 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' Collection from Ultimate Crafts.  The collection is fabulously Christmassy and I always seem to sing Christmas carols to myself while I craft with it!  So for this little card I...... C overed my card base in paper from the paper pad. Die cut the gorgeous window die and rubbed some white paint on it. Attached some acetate to the back of the window. Cut some floral patterned paper for behind the window and attach it the card with foam tape. Attached the window with foam tape. Created the lovely little 'Christmas Spray' with vellum poinsettias, die cuts, flower buds and pearls and a little bit of fussy cutting for the leaves. Applied a fine sprinkle of glitter (after all it is Christmas and I do love bling!). Printed out on my computer a sentiment onto a scr
