'Jardin' Exploding Card & Video Tutorial

Image
'Jardin' Exploding Card! Hi Papercrafters. 😊 The 'Petite Jardin' Collection from Couture Creations is pretty and easy to use for all your papercrafting projects. An eclectic mix of florals, stripes, geometric designs both in soft and strong colourways. The range has beautiful papers, dies, hotfoil stamps, chipboard and stamps, and really, choosing is the hardest part! I was drawn to the beautiful border, flourish and branches dies;  these dies I could use on most cards, totally drop dead gorgeous!  I wanted a card with a little surprise inside so I worked out the measurement for an exploding insert following one of my favourite Tea Bag fold Designs.  It works beautifully!  You can see exactly how I made this in the video I have put together for you 😉  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6rL3cA312I I do hope you get a chance to create this little fun card and to shop for some beautiful pro...

Lacey Edge Die

Image
Hi everyone. Today I have a beautiful card that is easy to create with a few nice techniques! I have fallen in love with the new DD757 Card Creations Die Lace Borders! They are versatile and beautifully lacey. To make this card I simply cut my CD602 premium ivory cardstock, (if you have not tried this, seriously consider it; the colour and texture are beautiful!), to 8  1/2″ wide and 6 1/4″ tall. Die cut each end, (it might need a few passes), folded it in half to form a card and then folded the front back. I heat embossed the text stamp in gold and continued with the gold theme with paper from the story book collection. The paper bloom was sprayed with adhesive and then sprinkled in gold micro glitter, (I was glittering all evening lol!). The circle sentiment acts as a closure with the fold slipping behind it when closed. I photographed my card agains a beautiful woodgrain paper so you could see the detail of the die. The paper is also from the ‘Story Book collect...

A special Valentines Card       Inside of Card…..some thoughts & tips! It’s fun to offset one colour on top of the other when stamping! Adding that Gold Glitter Tape is easy and adds beauty to the inside of the card. Consider stamping sentiment and then mounting it on an offcut of paper for a special look.
