'Jardin' Exploding Card & Video Tutorial

Image
'Jardin' Exploding Card! Hi Papercrafters. 😊 The 'Petite Jardin' Collection from Couture Creations is pretty and easy to use for all your papercrafting projects. An eclectic mix of florals, stripes, geometric designs both in soft and strong colourways. The range has beautiful papers, dies, hotfoil stamps, chipboard and stamps, and really, choosing is the hardest part! I was drawn to the beautiful border, flourish and branches dies;  these dies I could use on most cards, totally drop dead gorgeous!  I wanted a card with a little surprise inside so I worked out the measurement for an exploding insert following one of my favourite Tea Bag fold Designs.  It works beautifully!  You can see exactly how I made this in the video I have put together for you 😉  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6rL3cA312I I do hope you get a chance to create this little fun card and to shop for some beautiful products! Rose Vine Card by Collette Mitrega

Image
Welcome Papercrafters. Today I have a couple of cards using the wonderful Modern Essentials, Cut, Foil and Emboss Dies. I love a die that does it all and have selected the nesting  Rose Vine Frames to feature on my cards. I seem to be a 'golden mood' at the moment! Again I have chosen gold and white, but am loving how elegant that combination looks! I layered this up differently, instead of the thick metal shim, I used two of the thinner ones which foiled and cut beautifully! I had some beautiful left over bits of foil when I cut out the frames, way too good to throw out so I simply used my Go Press & Foil machine to attach the foiled frame to some card. To do this I put the thick shim on my Go press and Foil machine, put the foil gold side down, then my card and I used 2 card shims. It all attached beautifully! Not bad for leftovers! Love the leaves 2 stickers. They come in so handy! Products Used CO726462 - Cut Foil &a

Highland Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Image
Hi Papercrafters I am scrapping today with the traditional 'Highland Christmas' collection from Couture Creations.  Have you got yours yet?  Isn't it so traditionally festive? I started with 'sheet 3' from the Highland Christmas 12" Paper  Pad and added a red tartan matt cut to 4 1/2" wide x 7" tall, distressed edges and attached with foam tape. Next I added the doilies, cut in half and attached flat. I then added some strips to the left and bottom right before sanding and attaching my photo with foam tape. I love the chipboard designs from Couture Creations, and used a few on my page!  I foiled them all in my very favourite colour foil ..... Rose Gold!  CO726489 Christmas Corner Set - Chipboard CO726500 Mini Holly Branches CO726296 Hanging Baubels - Chipboard Foiled and sparkling in Rose Gold! Next, I created a floral bouquet and slipped in a die cut deer ... so cute! I then focused

Hi Papercrafters Today I am playing with the latest 'Highland Christmas' from Couture Creations. It is a festive traditional collection with all things Christmassy! As well as beautiful papers, this collection comes with beautiful dies, embossing folders, foil stamps and even chipboard. So Christmas Card making is sorted! A Trio of quick and easy cards should start the season of Christmas Card making of to a great start!  I believe we only have about 16 weeks to go 😜. I have used two of the new mini dies in this collection. They are inexpensive and cut so beautifully! This is the Highland Reindeer, you can choose to have him with or without antlers that come with this mini set, isn't he gorgeous! For each of my cards, I cut a base from 'sheet 9' of the collection, 3 7/8" x 5 7/8" and distressed the edges.  The three images I chose were from sheet 7, (oh just look at the other beautiful elements on this sheet, s

Invitation Pocket Card by Collette Mitrega

Hi Papercrafters Today I have a very useful 'Invitation Pocket' that can be used for weddings or gatherings of any kind! The invitation is detailed on the front of the pocket and there is room inside for additional information like maps, RSVP, wishing wells etc! The newly released 'Special Occasions' paper from Couture Creations adds a touch of richness with it's beautiful foil details and the addition of the silver Peacock adds a touch of the mystical! I have kept the colour palette classic and simple, white and silver, and the card and paper selection from Couture  Creations have given me plenty to choose from! A simple silver ribbon and beautiful adhesive silver & pearl set (50 in a pack) add a touch of richness. The pocket card is real simple to make: here is the plan starting with a piece of  10.5" x 5" piece of  snow white cardstock.  You will also need to put a strip of double sided tape on the
